January 27, 2010 at 12:38 pm #17280AlisonMemberHi,
I am having the same problem, plus a couple of additional ones that I think are all linked into the same problem. I have tried both the email address I use for PayPal, and the secure PayPal number, both with the same result. The additional problems I am having are that I can add one item to the cart, but when I add a second item from the same page, it replaces the first item. If I go to a different page to add an item, the first item is gone and the cart is empty as soon as I arrive at the page. Just a further piece of information that may or may not help, I had originally tried a few “add to cart” buttons from PayPal, and they worked fine, but I have since deleted them, and am going with the eStore buttons because PayPal France does not have the option of weight-based shipping options.

Please post a link to your site so I can check it out and double confirm the issue.
February 1, 2010 at 1:06 pm #17282AlisonMemberThe link to my site is: http://lechateauchampignon.com/
You were totally right, I contacted my web hosting and they replied “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I have noticed that session.save_path path for the account ‘alisonjeanne’ was not setup correctly. However, now I have set it to /home/users/web/b2164/moo.alisonjeanne/cgi-bin/tmp. Hence, the php sessions for your account is enabled. If there is any issue, please let us know.”
The items are now saving correctly in the cart! But it is still not connecting to PayPal correctly. When I click the check-out button, I receive this message: Fatal error: Call to a member function getUserInfo() on a non-object in /hermes/web04/b2164/moo.alisonjeanne/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_payment_submission.php on line 362.
I have not changed any coding. Is this also something I should be asking web hosting about?
Many thanks,
Alison
February 1, 2010 at 9:41 pm #17283amin007ParticipantYou just need an updated version of eStore. I will send you one.
February 2, 2010 at 9:43 am #17284AlisonMemberThanks for getting back to me so quickly. I downloaded the updated version, replacing my previous version, and deactivated and reactivated the plugin, but I still get the same error message. I actually tried a couple of times, just in case I had made a mistake somewhere in the process, and restarted my computer too, but the error message still comes up exactly the same.

1) Deactivate and delete the eStore plugin from your site (deleting the plugin do not cause you to loose any data so don’t worry)
2) Now upload and activate the new version (Please post the version number here after you install it).
If you are still having issues then I will take a look at your site.
February 3, 2010 at 8:04 am #17286AlisonMemberI tried that and it worked beautifully!! (Version v2.8.9.1) Thank you so much for solving this for me. I absolutely adore this plugin, and I am blown away by the amount of support you provide with it. If the old version was still operating in some capacity when I did the original deactivate/reactive, would it be advisable in the future for me to delete also, each time there is an upgrade? Thank you again – so so grateful!

February 3, 2010 at 9:42 pm #17287amin007ParticipantDeleting the whole directory and re uploading the new version is a nice and clean way to update the plugin (No data gets lost in this process either). The only reason I do not tell people to delete the plugin directory is because some people may choose to store their downloads in the “downloads” directory of the plugin and deleting the whole directory would mean they would have to re upload all the downloadable files.
