Tagged: Apache, chrome, Chunking, Download Progress
Anyone know what I can do so that browsers display the download size of the digital product as they download the file?
That is usually done by the browser. When the user downloads the file, the browser’s downloader will show the total size of the file.
That was my thought but Chrome is not reporting the download size when I use the eStore link.
Did you look at the bottom of the browser page (status bar), while the download is taking place? Chrome shows that size info in the status bur (at the bottom left corner).
The issue is a know issue with ‘chunking’ and compression on an apache server. More here:
I was able to fix it by switching to download Method 6.
