The easiest way to upload a file (if you are not comfortable using a FTP client eg. FileZilla) is to use the WordPress’s media uploader.

    This is what you do:

    1) Click on “Add New” from the “Media” section of your WordPress dashboard

    2) Choose a file to upload. Once the upload is complete it should show you a summary.

    3) On this summary page there is one row with the label “File URL” (this is the URL of the file)

    4) Copy this URL mentioned in step 3 and paste it in the “Digital Product URL” field of the product.

Remember all your uploaded files can be viewed from the “Library” menu under the “Media” section too. If you need to find the “File URL” of any of your uploaded files then simply browse for it in the “Library” section and click on “Edit” when you find it. Clicking on edit will bring up the “File URL” from where you can copy the URL of the file in question.

Hey Amin, following your instruction in all case i don’t prevent that people can access file directly from the browser, because if i past the url, i can get tracks directly.

Otherwise i followed your instructions (also if i followed this way first to post here) but i receive this error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /web/htdocs/shop.t-bahn.com/home/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php:85) in /web/htdocs/shop.t-bahn.com/home/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php on line 88

And the same for line 89-90-91-92-93

Maybe i miss some configuration in some files?

Hi, I had a look at your site. I updated the plugin for you. It looks like you are having an issue with 500 internal errors when an PHP script is directly accessed. I sent you information about this error and what you will need to do to fix this.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Ivy

    Hey Ivy,

i contacted the owner of the web server and seams that the problem is fixed,

in fact the browser, after the purchase, redirect correctly, so i can download successfully the track.

But now i see that copyng and pasting for more times the encrypted link download, or sending to a friend, it can download track easily, so if someone share the encrypetd link download after transaction all the peoples can download tracks.

It’s possibile to set a limit of times for what is possible to download track, or i can set only time limit (e.g. 12 hours)?

Thanks for massive support guys ;)

Yeah, you can limit the duration an encrypted link stays active. By default it is set to 48 hours (I think). Please see the “Digital Product Delivery Settings” section in the settings menu of eStore.

Yes i know this function, and works fine.

The problem is not to set the duration limit in hours, but not allow more download with same link.

I want that when i sold an MP3 track, the link download allow only one download, max 2 downloads if something goes wrong during download process.

    It’s possible?

    Thank’s.

    Oh nooo :((

This feature is very important for any that want to sell digital goodies.

Without this feature is impossible to sell MP3 files without problems of sharing links.

Everyone that buy a track, with a single transaction can give the link to friends and allow free download from the site, until the time limit expire.

And also set a time limit to 1 hour, force the user to download the track immediately, and this is not good.

How many time you think this feature will be added?

Hello Ivy the Magic (or whatever kind magician is answering),

I want to place my PDFs on the server without using the WP media uploader. I’ll probably use Filezilla. They are too large for using the WP media uploader (3MB to 45MB in size).

Can you tell me where I should place them?

My understanding is that I can’t use the PDF stamper if I store on my Amazon S3 account, am I correct?

    Thanks, Pam
