How to Upgrade or Load a Fresh Version of the Plugins Properly

If you have been redirected to this post then that means the issue you are seeing maybe related to a plugin upgrade, corrupted plugin files or the plugin version need to be upgraded.

Please do the following to rectify this problem (don’t be scared to delete the plugin(s) as you will not lose any data by deleting the plugin):

Step 1: DEACTIVATE and then DELETE the plugin(s) in question from your WordPress plugins directory.

Step 2: Make sure you have deleted the plugin completely (some people tend to keep multiple copies of the plugin in the plugins directory which causes problems). You can delete any plugin for the WordPress plugin manager by clicking the delete button for that plugin.

Step 3: Download a fresh version of the plugin(s) from here:

Step 4: Find the upgrade instruction for the plugin in question from this page (each plugin has a separate upgrade documentation):

Step 5: Follow the upgrade instruction to upgrade the plugin.
