How to Test a Shortcode by Itself

Sometimes a shortcode may not work if you have other HTML coding errors on the page. For example: if you are writing your own HTML table, it is very easy to make mistakes in the table code.

The following test can be helpful in determining if the shortcode is actually not working or some of your custom HTML code is messed up and causing the shortcode to not function correctly.

Do the following:

1) Create a new WordPress page (this is just a test page and you will delete it later).

2) Enter the shortcode in question on this page (don’t add anything but the shortcode on this page)

3) Now, view the page and check if the shortcode output is correct.
