How to show teaser content in post preview in home page

I’m not sure of the difference, but I’d definitely like the option for the member to be able to login on a blog post and continue reading once logged it – and I’d prefer there be a drop down login box once someone selects “Please ‘Login’ to continue reading, if the latter is the overlay, then I’d prefer to have the inline option

Let me make it more clean. You can’t have the following option checked if you want the inline option (this is an optional feature that can’t handle advanced logic for inline login):

Enable Fancy Login Widget/Popup

You need to uncheck that option then the inline option will work.
