How to setup bulk shipping discount for an entire catagory

I am trying to setup a discount where you buy 5 items within the same category you will get them for the cost of 4. (example if you buy 4 bars of soap the 5th is free) I used the coupon section to set it up but it will not handle categories or multiples of 5. Example the sale is for, 4 bars and get the 5th free and the customer buys 8 bars he should get two more bars for free)

How do I set this up?

Also, Can you have multiple automatic coupons going at the same time? Like 5 items for the cost of 4 and free shipping over $50
