How to redirect after Download Now?

I’m using the shortcode [wp_eStore_download_now_button id=1] for masked immediate and free downloads. Works great.

After a download started, i would like to redirect users to a thank-you page (and ask them to register on that page). I realize a squeeze form provides similar functionality but I want to enable users to download right away without forcing them to register. It’s to be used as split test with the squeeze form.

There is no option to do a redirect with the download now button.

I can’t seem to figure out how to post a completely new issue. I did it a few minutes ago with my first question but not finding how to do it now.

In any event, my question is slightly the opposite of the one above. I DO want to have them provide their email before they can access their free download. But I don’t get how to make the squeeze form work WITH the download now button. I also can’t figure out how to make it look nice in my cart which consists of all Fancy 1 product listings.

I found the following link but unfortunately, it didn’t really help me and left me still confused as to how to actually do this.

The squeeze form sends the download link to the users inbox so you don’t need to do anything other than to use the shortcode to place the squeeze form

If you want to, you can redirect the user to another page (example: a Thank You page) where you have the *instant download* now button. You can make it to where the user gets redirected to a page after he fills in the squeeze form. Here is how to do it:

Edit the eStore product in question and specify the “Redirect to” URL in the following area of this product:

Buy Now or Subscription Type Button Specific Settings -> Return URL

When a user fills in the squeeze form for this product, he will get sent to the URL you specify in the above mentioned field.
