Tagged: WP eStore
Hello,
I’m beginning to learn the WP eStore plugin as we seek to migrate from our current eStore to WP eStore on WordPress.
We’re selling eBooks, and every eBook has a Preview (PDF) version for customers to download and view before they purchase.
I cannot find any way to upload a PREVIEW version of the file (open, unencrypted) to the Product Record. I’ve searched on the Forum and this issue (preview files) doesn’t appear in the context which I am referring to.
I’m guessing that we could put a URL inside the product description to a preview file download (from elsewhere on the server), but that seems a bit “work around” as an approach and as your software is so comprehensive, I was wondering if I am missing something…
Is there a way to upload PREVIEW versions of products to a product record? If so, I’d be very pleased to learn how this is done!
Thank you for your help,
Kind regards
Matt
Hi Matt, You will need to handle the preview of the PDF file separately. So uploading it to your media library then specifying a link in the product description is the way to go. Our plugin is used more on a landing page. So if you have a landing page for your product, you probably want to put the preview link somewhere on your landing page (before the buy button).
OK, Many thanks for the heads-up on that.
