Do you have any suggestions for how to protect Buddypress groups? Is there an easy way to do it that I’m missing, or a tweak? Because the groups content doesn’t have a page or post or category to set in Content Protection.
I tried using the plugin ‘Private Buddypress’ but it messed up the emember registration process.
For now I’ve just got a landing page without any access to the buddypress content. If a visitor knows a little about wordpress then they can find and see that content but the average visitor doesn’t have that knowledge so it’s an okay solution.
You should be able to use the following option to protect the pages created by the
Buddypress plugin (Check the section labelled “Lockdown Specific Pages”):
