I am using pay per view on some of my videos. I want to allow indefinite access so I have added the 999 numbers in the relevant boxes but how do I prevent the encrypted link they receive upon payment being shared ? I need to completely prevent people sharing this link that have not paid for it ? Thanks
If you made the number of views “unlimited,” then you really can’t do much about it. The closest thing you can do is to have the links expire every 15 days, and then require them to request “fresh links” be emailed to them, via the [wp_eStore_download_link_sender] form:
If they are sharing the links, then it will inconvenience the person(s) doing the sharing, more than the persons having to request fresh links.
You may also want to consider that Netflix “gave up” trying to keep people from sharing accounts; deciding instead that it was an incentive for people to get their own accounts:
