eStore and Affiliate – How-To Only Pay Affiliate Commission on Specific Items?

Hi Guys! Newbie here…I searched for my terms, but cannot find my answer…hope I’m not asking a repeat. I hate when ppl do that.

OKAY…I am using WP eStore with WP Affiliate software…have thousands of products (for real, like 9310 of them) … all in, all working perfect.

Now, I only want to pay commissions on 10 of those 9,310 products…is it possible for me to put somewhere that I only want to pay on these 10 items?

I have 0 put in on all of the other items in the WP eStore settings for the actual products that I won’t be paying for. Except for those 10, of course. And in those 10 products I put the 50% payout that I will pay to the affiliate.

But, I didn’t know if a user bought one of the other products through the affiliate if it was going to pay out regardless of me having a 0 in the eStore product setting or not.

Hope somebody can follow me here…not sure I’m explaining it correctly.

I guess to summarize…can we pick and choose which items we want to pay an affiliate for, and if so, can we choose how much of a payout we want to pay on those items?

Hi Ellie, The way you have it setup will work fine for what you are trying to do. Affiliate will only get commission for those 10 items where you have specified a commission value. The eStore and affiliate plugins together are smart enough to figure which items should generate commission even when someone purchases multiple items at the same time.
