Just bought eMember + eStore bundle today and I am concerned I may not be able to achieve what I want. If you could please point me to any FAQs relating to this or offer any suggestions…
I want to offer paid membership to my site using Paypal, but the longer the signup term the cheaper the price, so 1 month = $75, 3 months = £200, 6 months = $350 and 12 month = $600. Alll members will have same access rights regardless of how long they paid for.
Now I’m thinking that a Paypal recurring option would not be advisable as the user is then tied into a fixed term e.g. they may buy 1 month, love the service and so want to renew for 12. So would I be best to create a membership level for each term with the appropriate expiry date, and if I did when that expires would user be able to choose again which level to renew for and have their membership level updated accordingly?
I hope the above makes sense!
Many thanks
Hi,
Yes you can create different membership levels and some upgrade payment buttons which your members can use to upgrade their membership level if they choose to.
See the link below for how to create payment buttons for membership upgrade.
Regarding your question about expiration and the ability of the user to choose, please see the section “What if the Member Account is Expired?” in the link below.
Excellent! thanks for you help
