Tagged: thumbnail size for products
hello, my site uses product images of all different sizes as you can see here [http://www.american-girl-doll-clothes.com]. I want the shortcode to show the image as it was uploaded. When I check off the enable smart option it cuts off the head of the pics.
Looks like you are using the Fancy1 product display option. This template (Fancy1) uses a square size thumbnail. So you will get the best looking outcome if you resize/massage your images (before uploading) and make theme square in size.
If you use a rectangular image then it will never come out as perfect (trying to fit a size 8 shoe in a size 10 feet just doesn’t work out very nice).
is there another fancy code that preserves rectangular images?
All the available fancy displays are listed here:

It doesn’t have to be perfectly square. Simply look at the thumbnail image ratio of the given display then make your images of the similar ratio.
