Tagged: sales tax
I need to charge 5.5% sales tax on most of the goods I sell that are shipped to Wisconsin addresses. However, no sales tax is payable for out of state purchases. Is there a way to specify this. I would prefer not to use PayPal settings as I also use the PayPal account to receive variable payments that should not be taxed.
For example, I just made a sale to a Minnesota address and the customer was charged sales tax. I went into PayPal and refunded the tax, but, obviously, I would rather not do that. Thanks!

Using version WP eStore Version v6.3.3 with no modification of code
Thanks!
Hi,
Looks like you are looking for regional sales tax functionality.
You can achieve this using eStore via profile based tax through your PayPal profile settings.
