Tagged: membership renewals
Hi
I am confused about some of the shortcodes so just need confirmation.
I have memberships that expire after 365 days. I want to have an option to renew in both the reminder email and on the users account details.
I have created a “membership renewal” page but I’m not sure what to place in here so that when a member visits this URL, they can renew their membership level – is it a shortcode? Or do I need to create a link? And if I need to create a link, how do I make it so it shows their membership type only?
thank you
Kristy
The renewal button is exactly the same as a normal membership payment button. You just put it on your renewal page and then you can tell users to go to that page (when they want to renew).
The following resources should help:

Thank you – I am using stripe as my payment gateway and currently just have direct URL links to add products to the users cart.
I don’t understand how to specify the product for each individual member (as I have 4 different options) – or do I just direct them to a page with all the options and they choose which one they want from there?
Yes, you send them to your renewal page where you have options to renew all the different membership levels.
On this renewal page, you put all your membership payment buttons. You can create new product/button for it or re-use the existing ones. Creating new buttons allow you to have a special pricing for the renewals (if you want to offer a different renewal pricing). Also, protect this renewal page so only logged-in members can see it.
So the process will be like the following:
1) A member goes to your renewal page.
2) Logs into the site (if he/she is not logged-in already).
3) Checks the renewal options for all the levels.
4) Makes a payment using one of the buttons on that page.
