Hi,
I am selling (as a unit) a downloadable mp3 file plus access to an on-line video that is embedded on my site; the online video part, by default, will therefore have no expiry date, customers should be able to access it as often as they wish.
How do I configure E-store to sell thit as a unit?
Many thanks

November 21, 2011 at 7:49 pm #38731wzpModeratorFirst add your mp5 to eStore as a digital product.
Next you turn the page with your online video into a digital product…

Then you bundle them together, into a product bundle…
The default for link expiration is the lesser of 5 tries or 24 hours. This is a global setting. Setting the links to a large value would be acceptable, but as I said, will be applied globally to all products.
As a compromise, you can increase the settings to a “reasonable” value, like the lessor of 12 tries in a 1 week (168 hour) period. You would then setup a “Send me fresh links” page containing the [wp_eStore_download_link_sender] shortcode form. This would allow buyers to get “fresh” copies of their download links emailed to them. Note: To use this feature, you must install the “extra shortcodes” plugin for eStore.

What I’ve opted to do instead is to display a message on the ‘on-line’ video page telling to bookmark the page if they wish to return.
Much appreciated

December 8, 2011 at 1:20 am #38734DeepLivingMemberThank you .. this opens up a new question.
Is there a way (combining eStore with one of your other products) where someone can buy aa product and then
– get the links on the thank-you page (as already happens)
– get the email (as already happens)
– and then AUTOMATICALLY be added to a user-group (which as access to the on-line video they’ve purchased?
The only thing with that – I’d have to create a user-group for every on-line video that’s for sale?
Any ideas – there must be a smart way of doing this
Best wishs

December 8, 2011 at 2:24 am #38735wzpModeratorI’m sure thre must be a way of using eMember to accomplish this.
December 8, 2011 at 4:30 am #38736adminKeymasterIf you want to add the user of each video to a user-group then you will have to create a user-group for each video (eMember relies on user group).
December 8, 2011 at 3:24 pm #38737DeepLivingMemberThanks for the replies.
Before I buy eMember I’d need to know it can do this:
Is there a way (combining eStore with one of your other products) where someone can buy aa product and then
– …
– …
– and then AUTOMATICALLY be added to a user-group (which as access to the on-line video they’ve purchased?
Can you help here or should I post the question in another forum?
THanks
