How to cause shopping cart to open in new window

I am trying to get my cart to show on a new page.

I created a new page entitled “Shopping Cart” and I inserted [wp_eStore_cart_fancy1].

Then I clicked the “Add to Cart” button on my product page. I was not taken to the shopping cart page. The product page merely reopened.

However, when I opened the shopping cart page, my order was shown.

The problem is getting the shopping cart page to open when someone places an order.

Please advise.

Hi, It sounds like you may have forgot to check the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” option in the eStore settings. Can you please check that you have this checkbox ticked and you have specified a “Checkout Page” (This is right above the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” option).

There is an option in eStore that you can use which will automatically redirect the customer to the shopping cart page when the add to cart button is clicked.

Look for the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” checkbox and check it. Let me know if this helps.
