Hi, have just purchased this plugin and really like it – except I’ve now discovered there is no way (that I can tell with my limited experience!) of being able to bulk upload photographs to the gallery. I photograph sporting events where I need to upload 100s of pics at a time and can’t use this if I have to upload each file individually as it just won’t be cost effective.
Is there a way of bulk uploading the pics to the gallery? I tried zipping the files and uploading them to the server via ftp and then used a plugin called “add from server” which puts them in the media gallery on word press, but it didn’t quite work and duplicated all the files.
I really hope there is a way around this so that I can use the program like I expected to – please help!

You can upload as many images as you want for your gallery in one go. You can create a gallery with hundreds of images just by selecting all the images then hitting “upload”.
Everytime you use a photo in the photo seller plugin gallery from your media library, it will copy the image and put it in the corresponding gallery folder for this plugin.

I can see a problem with having a large media page and having to look for an individual file instead of having all from one gallery together.
Thank You,
John

All photos which are uploaded with the photo seller plugin can be easily viewed (and edited) from within the gallery settings pages. Simply edit an existing gallery and you will see all of the images listed on that page.
Also, in terms of the filesystem, every gallery has its own folder containing the uploaded images in the “uploads/wp-photo-seller/” directory.
December 11, 2013 at 4:38 pm #59487JohnReed303MemberSorry, was at the end of a really long day. I am uploading images to a gallery with the standard drag and drop. After they’re uploaded, they are put into the “media” page of the WP dashboard. I want to know if there is a way to break up that media page and have them all in a folder (for lack of better term) so that they’re not just all in the same media page? A heirarchy would be most beneficial.
Also, if I have a group of images that go into a gallery, can I just upload them through the ftp site, or does it have to be through the WP upload?

It has to be via the gallery settings upload because the photo seller plugin has to do all sorts special processing of the image during the upload.

As far as the media menu goes it will display all uploaded images currently in your wordpress installation. But as mentioned in my previous reply, by editing a gallery individually you can see a list of the images from the media library which are separated into their respective galleries. Therefore this negates the need to go trawling through the media menu when you can identify the photos on a per gallery basis.
I hope this clears up any confusion.
