Hello, I am using WP affiliate Platform Version v4.7 with the latest version of Shopp 1.1.9.1 and the Shopp Affiliate Integration Version v1.1.
I need to find a way to have different products offer different commission levels – is there a way to do this?
If this requires customization or hacking, could you lead me in the right direction for getting this done?
Alternatively, can different affiliates have different commission levels?
Thank you so much for your help!
January 18, 2012 at 4:44 am #40833adminKeymasterDifferent affiliates can have different commission (simply edit an affiliate and change his commission level to what you want).
Please see this post regarding different commission for different product:

February 20, 2012 at 12:30 am #40834joycegraceMemberDo you know if it is possible to have different commissions for different products, or how much customization that would take, and is it allowed?
February 20, 2012 at 11:26 pm #40835adminKeymasterThis will only be possible if the 3rd party shopping cart that you are using can store the commission amount that you want to pay for the product in question (so that when the product is sold we can see how much commission you wanted to pay for that product). 3rd party shopping carts usually don’t have an option like that.
February 21, 2012 at 6:35 am #40836joycegraceMemberCan you tell me how I can find out, and what I should be asking the makers of the shopping cart so that I can see if this is possible on their end? I am using Shopp and while they may not have that feature inherently, I’d like to at least be able to ask them in technical terms if it is possible to code it into their system somehow. But I really don’t know the terms to use….
Thanks!
February 21, 2012 at 10:40 pm #40837adminKeymasterYou can ask them the following question:
Is it possible to store commission data (any custom data basically) with the product?
March 29, 2012 at 1:50 am #40838joycegraceMemberHello, yes I found out that shopp can store custom order data – can you tell me what the next step would be to setting this up?
Thanks!
March 29, 2012 at 10:55 pm #40839adminKeymasterPlease post a link to the documentation where it explains how to store “Customer data” with a product and then retrieve it later.
March 30, 2012 at 7:59 am #40840joycegraceMemberI think this is probably what you would need, but I’m not sure if “customer data” and “order data” are referring to the same thing:

Thank you so much!
March 30, 2012 at 11:37 pm #40841adminKeymasterIt tells me that I need to log in.
May 21, 2012 at 9:42 pm #40842joycegraceMemberHello, sorry about that. I found out there is a downloadable guide. Here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3mu81pi2csffmfq/Shopp-1.2-User-Guide.zip
Thanks SO much!
August 25, 2012 at 2:18 am #40843joycegraceMemberIs anyone able to help me with this? I’d really appreciate it!
August 26, 2012 at 11:46 pm #40844adminKeymasterThe guide you shared is actually a full user guide. It looks like someone will need to make another plugin that can add custom fields in the shopp plugin to store the data. This is not something we can do unfortunately.
