Hi,
I’m using WordPress 3.1.1 and eMember 6.2.5. I have a two stage registration process. The first page uses [free_rego_with_email_confirmation] which does not generate a reCAPTCHA form. This generates an email with a link to the Free Membership page, which uses [wp_eMember_registration_form:end], which does generate a reCAPTCHA page.
My question is, how can I add the reCAPTCHA form to this function? [free_rego_with_email_confirmation]
Right now I’m getting constant, useless spam accounts littering my Membership database.
Thanks as always,
Paul H.

[free_rego_with_email_confirmation]
Please get a new build of eMember from here to get this feature:
March 20, 2012 at 5:18 am #31390MichaelSpectatorHi,
I am having a problem reCAPTCHA.
Is it an issue when building the reCAPTCHA code at my Google account!!
Does the WWW need to be in the first set up of the keys.
March 20, 2012 at 7:11 am #31391PeterMemberPlease be more specific.
What sort of problem are you having?
Can you provide a link to the page which is exhibiting the problem?
March 20, 2012 at 7:55 am #31392MichaelSpectatorHere,
http://www.emmanuelministriesinternational.org/members-home/registration/
We are not currently using reCAPTCHA
Reason, Internal error just above register when we arm the reCAPTCHA
An internal error occurred: 4BBA7FA13F4B8.AA53848.46A7
Dont know what that means?
March 20, 2012 at 11:15 pm #31393adminKeymasterThe reCAPTCH keys don’t have “WWW”. Did you get your reCAPTCHA private and public keys from here?
http://www.google.com/recaptcha/whyrecaptcha
Also make sure your server can connect to Google’s reCAPTCHA server otherwise it won’t be able to work.
March 21, 2012 at 12:13 am #31394MichaelSpectatorYes I did get the keys from there!
I have other sites on this server ip and the affiliate signup reCAPTCHA is working fine.

I have remade the captcha codes again for the above site and still getting error on page when I arm the captcha in emembersplugin/settings/reCAPTCHAâ„¢ Settings

March 21, 2012 at 3:42 am #31395PeterMemberWhen you say “I have remade the captcha codes again” do you also mean you regenerated your security keys?
If you haven’t done so please try that because it’s been known to fix an error like the one you’re getting.
March 21, 2012 at 3:55 am #31396MichaelSpectatorYes I have regenerated the security keys without the www as you suggested saved it into the members plugin page again and am still getting that error.

March 22, 2012 at 4:56 am #31397MichaelSpectatorI guys,
No matter what I do I cant seem to fix this issue!
Can you show me an article or a how to trouble shoot this problem?
Start to get auto sign ups!
March 22, 2012 at 11:06 pm #31398adminKeymasterThis is actually not an issue with the plugin itself so we don’t have a tutorial for you but we should be able to narrow it down.
Do you have any test WordPress installs where you can add eMember?
Also, have you already performed this test?

March 23, 2012 at 12:22 am #31399MichaelSpectatorGreetings,
The evidence of the problem has changed a little, no longer getting error code as stated previous, however no matter how many times you try and register with reCAPTCHA turned on, Just cant get past reCAPTCHA just says wrong spelling, even after trying maybe 10 times double checking the spelling very carefully.
I have done this test and its still the same problem, https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/test-to-identy-a-conflicting-theme-or-plugin
I have also tested to see if it is the server IP that is being blocked by google and it is not, as I have a Affiliate install that uses the reCAPTCHA for sign ups on the same server IP, I do realize that it is a different domain/different keys, but just to show you I have the method right all is fine on the below install using reCAPTCHA on the same server at least.

Not sure what else it could be, unless Google is blocking a specific domain, not sure who to contact to get that lifted if it is so.
I tried putting [free_rego_with_email_confirmation] on the page but the box is in a frame as does not fit on the theme.

March 23, 2012 at 11:13 pm #31400adminKeymasterKeep the default WordPress theme active temporarily and Please post a link to your registration page where you have that shortcode.
March 24, 2012 at 1:03 am #31401MichaelSpectatorSometimes I feel like such a goose on forums, the link I posted in this thread above.

March 24, 2012 at 11:04 pm #31402adminKeymasterWhy is your registration form inside some JavaScript? If you are placing it inside another JavaScript or iframe then Google won’t like it and won’t validate the requests. The form needs to be on a plain WordPress page. Only keep the registration form shortcode inside the registration page and nothing else. Please correct this and follow up.
