Just wondering how I can add an incomplete member manually.
I have the eStore and eMember – membership is only possible after payment (no free).
Members are actually added after payment, but…
If I wanna add a new member without a username this is not working.
Why to manually add a user?
Sometimes I create partnerships with others and I just want to give them access to my membership, but without creating a password for them or without knowing all details (used address and whatever, password etc.)
I just want to create a new incomplete membership then to make eMember send the registration completion email to them – so the new member can fulfill all details himself.
Is there any way to create a new member account without giving all the details like password and username?
Thanks in advance.
Chris
September 18, 2015 at 11:42 pm #71401adminKeymasterYou can’t manually add an entry without the username field. If you are manually adding a member record then add the full details to create the profile. The user can change the password later.
If you want the user to create his/her profile to a paid level without paying, then do the following:
If you have incomplete profile then do the following to manually complete the registration of an incomplete profile.
1) Go to the admin functions menu of the plugin
2) Generate the unique registration completion link
3) Use the link in your browser
4) Fill in the required fields and complete it
February 25, 2016 at 5:55 pm #71402VandAdminMemberWe did a bulk import of members from another database and initial sent all members a link to join. I would like to use the admin function “Generate and Email the Registration Completion link (Bulk Mode)”, to send a registration link to all members who have Last Login status set as “Never”. How can I “move” or “set” these members to the incomplete status? I am very familiar with SQL.
Thank you,
VandAdmin

What you are trying to do (as I understand it) is send emails to some of your members. You can use the following addon to send emails to a group of members:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/wp-emember-email-broadcast-addon-814
Or you can take the email address of those users and send emails using your preferred method of email communication.
If you imported some of your members, it is likely that some of those members are not interested to log in at this time. If they ever have issue with logging into your site, they will contact you. Just because someone hasn’t logged into the site doesn’t mean you need to do anything about it.
