Is there a way to use the “customer id” shortcode on my emails?
In the UK I’m required to have a sequencial invoice number on each invoice and the “customer id” number is ideal for that.
If so, is is it possible at all to start the customer IDs from a larger number (ie. 100, 101, 102… instead of 1, 2, 3 ….
Thanks a lot!
Use the following email tag/shortcode in your email.
{counter}
This will give you a sequential number.
All the available email tags are listed on our documentation here:

I see. I looked for it on the list but completely missed it. sorry
Is this the same as the “customer id” field or is it a different one.
I ask this because I have already sold a few products so my “customer id” field is now 3. If I use the {counter} shortcode will it continue from 4 or will it start from 1 again?
Thanks a lot!
The customer ID is for a different purpose. There is no relation between the customer ID and the counter field. You want to use the {counter} field for what you are trying to do.
