Forgive me if this question is unforgivably stupid, but I’m just confirming that I don’t have to do anything beyond having both plugins installed on my site and they “talk to each other.” Yes?
I have my WP Affiliate settings all good to go, and I’ve begun creating products in eStore. I don’t see any radio buttons or fields asking me to integrate my Affiliate API or account. I’m using PayPal as my 3rd party shopping cart.
Please confirm that I’m not being a total idiot. And if I am, that’s OK. I just need to know that a purchase will be credited toward an affiliate, especially since I am not using the sales page URL as the affiliate unique URL, but the homepage.
Thanks so much!
Hi,
This link should explain everything you need to know:
I have read the link provided by Peter & have one question regarding squeeze pages.
In WP estore under “Addon Settings” there is a checkbox to capture lead on squeeze form submission.
Is this used in conjunction with the affiliate banner? Meaning, when the affiliate’s customers click on their affilate banner (and it sends them to our squeeze page and they buy the webinar) – their payments will be tracked and for the affiliate to earn their commission?
When someone clicks on an affiliate banner, and they end up at your site, a cookie is created; that corresponds with the affiliate ID. When a sale is actually made, that affiliate gets credited for the commission.
The “squeeze form” is a way to offer free downloads to visitors. Since no sale is made, no commission is credited.
