So, the basic Authorize.net that is already in estore doesn’t require that I have the payment gateway bundle or any special SSL on my site because it will direct them to authorize.net to complete the checkout? Is that correct.

If so, what’s the process for the transaction? How does the customer get back to the site or on my aweber list?

And, the payment gateway bundle allows for me to be able to process on my site without them leaving or recurring billing through authorize.net, correct?

    Thanks

    – Yes, you are right. eStore uses the SIM (Simple Integration Method) api of Authorize.net.

After the transaction the user will be redirected to the “Thank You” page on your site (specified in the Return URL field of eStore settings). The plugin will automatically add the user to your aweber list when the transaction is processed.

The payment gateway bundle addon extends the functionality of eStore by allowing on-site checkout using Authorize.net AIM and ARB api (the user won’t need to leave the site).

AIM (Advanced Integration Method) api is used to process one-time payment and ARB (Automated Recurring billing) api is used to process recurring payment.

Please note that both AIM and ARB require SSL certificate to be installed on your server.

Okay, so with SIM I don’t need the SSL certificate on my server, correct? Also, I can still use PayPal for recurring billing and they can only use the authorize.net for one-time payments?

If that’s correct. If it’s a recurring payment it will automatically take them to PayPal to complete purchase?

    Yes you are correct.

You can use paypal subscription button anywhere you want without affecting anything else. Here is how to create a PayPal subscription button on your site:

You can still continue to have the normal authorize.net SIM checkout that you already have.
