Tagged: Authorize.net ARB, unsubscribing process
I saw that with Paypal the subscriber unsubscribes by going to paypal and then paypal notifies the WP eStore plugin. Then the rest of their membership that they have paid for continues .
But how does that work when someone enters the credit card info on my site and it is processed through Authorize.Net ARB?
Hi, currently you can only cancel a subscription from your ARB merchant account. However, we are working on adding a feature so you can cancel it from your site.
So in other words, when someone wants to cancel, they have to contact me, and then I have to go into ARB and do it manually?
Does that then automatically cancel their subscription on the site or do I have to manually do that, too?
And when it is cancelled, do they automatically get the rest of their paid subcription? (for example when they had just paid for another month, and want to use the membership till the end of that period which they paid for.)

you are right.
authorize.net (ARB) doesn’t send any notification if you cancel the subscription. So you will need to manually deactivate the membership on the site as well.
Does eStore communicate with Wishlist when a subscriber has cancelled? If so does Wishlist know to give that person access until their last month is finish?
Only if eStore is notified of the cancellation. Since ARB doesn’t send any automatic notification eStore has no way of knowing if a subscription has been cancelled.
