how do I use mod_xsendfile with plugin

I am having trouble with purchased download links of large files. The download progress simply stops after anywhere from 30 to 100 MGs. I have tried all of the download methods, but none has allowed me to completely download one of these larger files (music and video). I have had success with smaller files. The only thing I can conclude is that the download is being timed out.

I want to try to avoid using AS3, for no additional cost.

I read about using the Apache mond_xsendfile on another post but not how to implement it. My host does have it installed on the server…

How can I configure it with the plugin?

If it is installed, just select download method 8.

As for the cost of Amazon S3, it is free for the first year, and customers have been reporting costs of less than $1 a month.

Thanks. I don’t see download method 8, only 1-7. Does this mean I was misled that the mod is already installed on my server?
