KeymasterDo you want to protect your comments so only members can see theme or you want to keep them open for everyone?

KeymasterWe made some changes in eMember to check if a page has comment turned on or off. This change should help you. Please download a new copy of the plugin and check it out:

KeymasterEach of your WordPress post or page has a “Discussion” settings below the post editor. You can turn off comment on a page by unchecking the “Allow comments” checkbox from that discussion settiongs. If you don’t see the discussion section when you are editing a page, go to the “Screen options” (see top right hand corner in your WP Dashboard) and check the “Discussion” box.

MemberJust as you described above, I went into “Screen Options” and Unchecked “Comments” and “Discussion”. Just the same, comments are showing up on my checkout and cart and other pages. How do I get them not to show up?
I should mention that I am working in Estore and NOT Emember.

KeymasterThat comes from your theme’s template. Ask your theme developer why it is not respecting the WordPress comment settings of that page.

MemberThe theme is Word Press’s own Twenty Twelve. I they gave the option to turn off comments, I’d think that they of all people would fulfill on that promise….
EDITED TO ADD: I figured out what it is, in case anyone needs to know: You have to go to “All Pages” Then hover over the title of the page you don’t want comments on. Then go into “Quick Edit”. Then uncheck “Allow Comments” Works like a charm. Case closed
