How do I tell what version eStore I have purchased May 2010 and how do I upgrade to get the Next Gen Gallery plugin please

You can get the currently installed version of any WordPress plugin from the “Plugins Menu” inside your WordPress dashboard. If you go to the plugins menu where it lists all the plugins you will see that is has version information near the “activate/deactivate” links for the plugin. WP eStore also show the version information in the settings menu of eStore plugin.
