How do I enable a 20 second preview of an audio file I am selling?

I am selling guided meditations on my site and I would like to enable my customers to hear a short sample of the meditation before they buy.

How can I do this?

You’d install the “Extra Shortcodes” addon, and use the audio player shortcode:

Thanks for this. I applied option 3 and can get the ability to show a short preview of my audio files. But this does not work for some of my products.

All the products are uploaded but I can only preview some of the files. Is this a fault with WP or estore?

Are ALL of the samples of the same file type?

yes. They are all MP3 files.

Do I need to load up a separate sample file? That is, file 1 is 2 mins long, do I need to create a 30 sec version of this file?

OK, I managed to fix the problem. On my product URL I had the thank you page instead of a link to the media file.

The problem I have now is that the preview plays the whole file, how do I limit it to 20-30 seconds?

By having a sample file, that is different & shorter than the product file. What shortcode(s) are you using?
