hello,
I need to give the people I want to work with as my affiliate a link that will be for them to track.
I don’t need an ad, but simply a link that they are using in their newsletter.
I can’t find anywhere to do this.
please help!
Thank you
December 8, 2016 at 11:53 pm #74750adminKeymasterCreating a simple affiliate link is very easy. Please read the following documentation to learn how to create an affiliate link.

The affiliate portal also has a section that allows you affiliates to enter a page URL of your site and then it creates their affiliate link. Your affiliates can find this tool in the following section of their affiliate portal:
Affiliate Portal -> Ads -> Link Generation
You can teach that to your affiliates.

I have seen the banner creating and I couldn’t understand it, it’s showing text html
where is the link?
Can I create an affiliate portal account even if it’s my own stuff?
This way I can see how it works?

Yes.
Just go to the affiliate registration page and signup for an account (or you can create an affiliate record from the admin interface of the plugin).

January 26, 2017 at 6:21 pm #74754marinavMemberHello,
I am confused on a few things. Please help me understand better:
1. I want to have affiliates sign and access their own dashboard so they can put in all the information for their login, paypal, etc…
How do I send them a page where they can do all that?
2. Since I have several products I want my affiliates to work with, I want them to be able to create their own affiliate links for the products they are interested in doing.
Do I have to set that up, or can they do that once they sign in to the dashboard they will create (as in question #1)
3. If by chance they want to do a banner or image ad for it, can they also create that or do I have to do that?
4. If I give them the text ad link or banner link for the affiliate, how do they keep track if it is being sold or not if they are not in a dashboard? I am not understanding how me creating this affiliate works for them in receiving money?
Thank you
January 27, 2017 at 1:58 am #74755adminKeymasterHave you created your affiliate portal area? Please read the following documentation if you haven’t:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/setting-up-the-affiliate-viewarea-315
Once you create the affiliate portal, you simply tell your affiliates to go to that URL. They can then register and log into their affiliate area.
I don’t think you have watched our video tutorials. So you have a lot of confusion because you don’t even understand how this plugin works. So first you should make sure that you have watched all the video tutorials from our documentation which will help you removed some of the confusion that you have:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/
Your affiliate can create an affiliate link for any of your products page. In their affiliate area there is a “Tools” menu where they can enter your product page’s URL and it will show the affiliate link for that page. They can then use that link in their site to send referrals.
All the referral sales are tracked and shows in the “Sales” menu of of the affiliate area. Watch the video tutorial so you can see how it shows the affiliate commissions in the sales menu.
Question for you (this will help me understand where you are). Have you ever promoted other products where you were the affiliate? I mean have you used affiliate links on your site to send referral traffic to an external site and then received commission?
January 27, 2017 at 2:45 pm #74756marinavMemberThank you!
I haven’t ever worked with affiliates, this is very new to me.
I have set up and sent the log in to someone who wants to be an affiliate for my product.
One thing that I am unsure of is this:
I have a free product that I offer as part of my funnel, then once they sign up for that, I start to send out the free product it is a sequence of emails for 15 days, i start to actually sell my main product after 5 days.
At this point it is a totally different URL of the paid product, which is the sales letter.
In the sales letter i have a BUY NOW link where the people actually pay, which link does my affiliate need to get the money.
Here is the way it goes:
FREE MINI COURSE SIGN UP:
then in the emails they will get the link to my main sales page:
then I have the buy now buttons in the sales page:
so how does this process work?
I will like the affiliates to be able to do the full funnel, or does it only work from the last BUY link?
Thanks
January 28, 2017 at 12:09 am #74757adminKeymasterThe affiliate referral can be sent to any of those pages on your site. Once an affiliate refer a customer to ANY of your site’s pages using their affiliate link, the plugin will tell the browser to remember it for 30 days (you can change this number in the settings). When the customer comes back to your site later (5 days in your case) and purchase a product, the affiliate will receive the commission.
January 28, 2017 at 6:15 pm #74758marinavMemberok, so if they sign up with the free link but purchase from a different link, the person who referred them will get the commission?
it doesn’t have to be from the original link?
January 29, 2017 at 12:22 am #74759adminKeymasterYes thats correct.
