Can I change the membership joining fee without affecting the existing members

I want to

1) charge the early adopters a one time lifetime access fee

2) after some time anyone else who joins is a annual fee.

is this possible as is? or do i need modification? do i need to create another group? The membership levels have specific names so that might create a problem. Will the early adopters be charge a fee once I change the membership level?

3) for another site I want to offer two kinds of membership. Membership A is for ALL customers and is free. Membership B is a discount account with an annual fee, similar to a Barnes and noble card. I want to give them a 10% off on ALL purchases and free shipping for the duration of their membership.

How can I get that done? I am using both membership and estore plugin.

Hi,

1. If you change the price this will not effect the other memberships that are already established.

Note: PayPal will not allow you to modify subscriptions once they have been established.

2. You would need to make a members only store to do this. The best way is to just make a copy of the products you want to offer for a discount and make a store that is protected to just the membership levels you want to have access to this. As for the shipping you would just leave the shipping options (per product) blank for these items so they do not trigger the shipping.
