British Columbia is about to change the way our purchase taxes are collected. At present we have 2 taxes
One called GST (federal) one called PST (Provincial.
As of July 1st 2010 those two taxes will be combined into what they call HST.
I don’t at this moment have a tax code to collect taxes as I pay the tax out of overall pricing.
Is there a method within eStore – Affiliates and Member that can be set to collect this tax or deduct the tax from the affiliate payment.
In view of the fact my store has just had a catastrophic crash while moving it out of orginal hosting account, now would be a great time for me to address this issue.
If this is covered in your tutorial forgive my uneducated loss of the instructions as I am not a techie and do not really understand much of the tech speak, sorry
This documentation should explain how TAX is handled:
The affiliate commission is always calculated on the actual product price (it always excludes the tax and shipping cost when calculating commission).
