Im trying to offer a Gift certificate as an option. so $25 / $50, $100 X whatever Qty the customer wants which can be redeemed on the sites by friends.
whats the best way to go about it. I have the Coupons addon but cant find the Serial key generator. The idea is Ill list each certificate as a Product but I want the customer to get the {certificate code} in the mail which they can share.
please advice
thanks

May 12, 2015 at 10:34 pm #70017wzpModeratorDo your customizations include changes to any files in the plugin directory? There have been several feature improvements and bug fixes since your last version.

May 13, 2015 at 12:19 am #70019danfarMemberI ended up updating the core module now I can see the links:
a few questions
1) I want to display the PDF voucher or the Actual Code on the confirmation page as soon as the customer pays how can I do that? right now I can only redirect them to another page can I get a short code?
2) In the Buyer email I want to embed the Voucher Code i used {voucher_data} but this only adds the URL – can I have another short code which list the Actual Voucher Code
thanks

May 13, 2015 at 3:41 pm #70021wzpModerator1) I want to display the PDF voucher or the Actual Code on the confirmation page as soon as the customer pays how can I do that? right now I can only redirect them to another page can I get a short code?
Like the download links, the voucher codes will not be available until the IPN has been verified. It has been observed that there is a 30% chance the Thank You page will be displayed before the IPN has been verified; due to Internet timing issues between the payment processor (PayPal, etc.) and eStore. Whenever this happens, both download links and voucher codes will not be available for display on the Thank You page; but will always be available in the buyer email (because it is post IPN). Rather than taking your chances with that 30% uncertainty, it is best to simply say on the Thank You page that the voucher information will arrive in the buyer email.
2) In the Buyer email I want to embed the Voucher Code i used {voucher_data} but this only adds the URL – can I have another short code which list the Actual Voucher Code
The reason a link is provided, rather than just a voucher code; is to produce the “experience,” of presenting a pretty-printed certificate to the buyer. Previously, site owners were making due with selling serial numbers, that corresponded with coupon codes.
May 13, 2015 at 3:45 pm #70022danfarMember2) Yes the link is fine but can I also display the Voucher code inside the email?
May 14, 2015 at 2:12 am #70023adminKeymasterNo, the plugin can only send the full gift certificate (which contains the code in it) to the customer.
If you just want to send a code, then you can use our coupon codes feature. Create a coupon then you can give it out to the users via that email.
May 14, 2015 at 6:08 pm #70024danfarMemberI want it to be automated so besides the URL certificate link I want to have the Code listed separately so customers dont get confused and can see the Actual code without having to click the URL, alot of times people use smart devices and it gets difficult to click links a Simple shortcode for the cert code will work.
can you add the feature?
thanks
May 15, 2015 at 12:07 am #70025adminKeymasterNo, that won’t be possible (The underlying mechanism is a little tricky).
December 4, 2015 at 5:12 pm #70026franciscusMemberI was looking for this addon on your website, and this forum thread was the only place I found it. Is there a list of add-ons somewhere (other than the list of free add-ons at https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-addons-list ?
This question was also asked at https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/list-of-purchasable-addon-for-your-plugin#post-76245
December 5, 2015 at 2:21 am #70027adminKeymasterWe don’t have a list for that yet. I will work on creating a list for it.
