Firstly I’d like to say thank you for creating such a wonderful plugin.
The alternatives on the market are far too restrictive but WP PDF Stamper fitted the bill perfectly
I have read the response to previous email requesting how to hide the “SUCCESS!” download URL when a customer downloads their PDF.
I work with a client whos Intellectual Property is highly guarded in all areas of his training and he wants the ability to remove the URL echo on the screen.
Is there a line in the code where this text can be replaced with something more generic?
Thanks,
Paul.

December 8, 2014 at 3:49 pm #67260ipaul79MemberHi wzp, thanks for the suggestion.
The PDFs are accessed within a secure membership site using the WP Download Link that you so kindly provided us with.
Is there a simpler way to do it please?
Just the removal of the message on the screen OR replacing with a general message would be perfect.
I can change the code myself, just not sure which line needs changed.
Thanks once again,
Paul.
December 8, 2014 at 11:00 pm #67261adminKeymasterHi Paul, How are you using the plugin? Normally if you use a download now button, it just lets the user download the item (without any message).
December 9, 2014 at 12:53 am #67262ipaul79MemberInterestingly enough, the message wasn’t appearing to start with.
Then, we launched our product and generated about 1.5GB worth of stamped PDFs within a few days.
It was at that point where the message was starting to show on the screen.
The only thing I have done today is clear the cache and the stamped files and now…the message is no longer appearing.
Most peculiar, any ideas?
Thanks,
Paul.
December 9, 2014 at 5:42 am #67263adminKeymasterThat still doesn’t answer my original question. How are you using the plugin? How does the customer get their PDF file?
December 9, 2014 at 5:04 pm #67264ipaul79Member“The PDFs are accessed within a secure membership site using the WP Download Link that you so kindly provided us with.”
I did say that a few posts back.
They login to the secure member site.
They then visit the page with a module video embeded from Wistia with a download PDF button below it.
It is this button that I am referring to.
December 10, 2014 at 1:46 am #67265adminKeymasterThank you. So you are using the following shortcode:
That shortcode shouldn’t show a message unless it was being cached somehow. Let me know if you see this issue again and I can do some investigation on your site.
December 10, 2014 at 2:17 am #67266ipaul79MemberYes, using the shortcode
I will keep an eye out, it’s been behaving itself recently (and quite beautifully I must add).
If it happens again I’ll get in touch.
Kindest regards,
Paul.
August 11, 2015 at 10:47 pm #67267ipaul79MemberHi guys, hope you don’t mind me reactivating this ticket.
Well it’s been a good run, but we’ve just launched a new product, brought in a number of new members and…the same thing is happening again.
Please see attached screencast [http://screencast.com/t/qPCmjwkIBj4]
This is a serious problem which we would really appreciate a response to at your earliest convenience.
Thanks again,
Paul.
August 12, 2015 at 12:17 am #67268adminKeymasterHi Paul, What has changed on this site recently? Is the issue only for your new item that you added or for all of them?
August 12, 2015 at 3:31 pm #67269ipaul79MemberThis is really weird, the problem has disappeared again…
The problem was with all existing PDF files (even the ones that worked before)
Could it be to do with server load or some kind of configuration with the server?
The problem was evident for 6-8 hours yesterday but as of today…it’s working perfectly.
Thanks,
Paul.
August 13, 2015 at 1:06 am #67270adminKeymasterThe server’s load would be a big factor (specially if you are on a budget hosting package because they don’t give you much RAM and CPU power for those packages).
August 13, 2015 at 2:41 pm #67271ipaul79MemberOk, I’ll have a word with the server manager (they have a dedi so I’ll see about them allocating more RAM/CPU to the site affected.
Is there a page on here with the RAM/CPU requirement, I couldn’t find it.
Thanks again for all your help,
Paul.
August 13, 2015 at 3:16 pm #67272wzpModeratorThe requirements “depend” on the size and complexity of the file being stamped, the number of files being simultaneously stamped and most importantly; the number of “other sites” you are sharing the (budget) server with. The list of minimum requirements for the PDF Stamper are listed here:
The suggested amount of PHP memory is 512 MB.
