I have everything working great using ?rel=0;modestbranding=1. It keeps everything hidden but at the end of the video the share info at the top shows up. Does anyone have a way to keep it hidden? I don’t want people to have the ability to “share” a video that they need to pay for in order to view it. Sort of deletes the use of this plugin. Thanks for any help!
Note: Sorry for the repost. My post yesterday went into the wrong forum.
Hi, WP eStore plugin doesn’t do anything with YouTube videos. Which feature of eStore are you referring to?
I think a lot of people that use the plugin are trying to be able to sell YouTube videos and not have them shared to everyone after the purchase. That is why I believe the APR was created. http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/using-wordpress-permalinks-as-digital-products-apr-1217
My issue is that the “share” option shows after the video is played. And was hoping someone had a solution that worked.
YouTube’s native player does not offer protection for your videos. YouTube videos are never protected. Anyone can directly go to YouTube and see/find your videos. You will hardly ever see anyone selling premium videos that are hosted on YouTube. All professional video selling sites use a service like Amazon S3 or host the video on their own server.
You need to host the videos on a service that is completely under your control, like Amazon S3, and then use a player, like Lightbox Ultimate, whose settings are also completely under your control.
You would then create an APR protected page that contains the Lightbox Ultimate player.
The APR protection secures access to the Lightbox Ultimate player, and the Lightbox Ultimate player secures access to the video itself.
Thanks for the reply wzp!
