Hiya, hoping someone can help before my head explodes.
I have installed WP, Simple Press & emember (and eStore) and followed all instructions relating to the wp user roles / emember members / simple press users.
My eMember login works beautifully, from the login page and the login widget.
I have lost the ‘login’ button for wp-admin login (which is okay for now) and there is still the Login and Register button on the SP forums. I actually like those buttons there but the Login one does nothing at all (as in you click on it and just nothing, it’s like it’s not clickable) and the Register button takes me to the the wp-login page.
Is there a button or something I can check that will make the SP buttons go to the default stuff eMember has set up?
I have read pages and pages of support forums and the documentation here and checked all the buttons and stuff I can find and that are suggested.
Some of my members are also having trouble logging in, either getting the page refreshed with the details still there, error messages or just a blank page … any ideas on this would also be helpful.
(Oh, and they were added using a bulk user uploader in csv format – all their usernames and roles are there on all three – WP, eMember and SP components)
Mostly, though, for now, if I can get the SP buttons working that would be AWESOME!

Essentially, you want all user login and registration to be handled by eMember. So in your front-end of the site, you will have call to action that points to those eMemember pages.
Have you gone into Simple press plugin’s interface and looked for an option to change those URLs for the buttons?
You can also (this is optional) use the following feature of eMember on your simplepress forum area (so any non-members going to those URL will be greeted with an emember login popup). Check the “Lockdown Specific Pages” section from the following post and try that:
That kind of makes it to where ONLY a logged in member can go to your simplepress forum area (so they will never see the button coming from simplepress).
May 15, 2014 at 4:15 am #62957realmumsMemberThank you. I have looked for an option, and whilst there are some there – like login redirect etc – there’s nothing that allows for that that I can see.
I’ve altered the page layout so the emember login is on the page also, but it looks messy. It’s there, though.
I like people to be able to see some of the forum, especially the T&C before they join, just because of the nature of it.
I’m also having a few members say that when they attempt to login, the page just refreshes and if they go to the login page, they are getting a message saying “password missing or invalid”
I’ve managed to log in to my device with their details and it works okay, but they just can’t get in
Would appreciate any advice or suggestions in that respect, too.
Thank you so much for your reply.
