I just bought emember plugin, but I keep getting an error message on when view any article.
Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/content/e/d/g/edgarphs/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/auth.php on line 338
Now, When I first install this plugin I notice it said
This plugin works better with phpv5.2.x or above. You are using 4.4.9
I called Godaddy.com and told them I want to upgrade to 5.2 and they said it was no problem, but that I might loose all my stuff. the Rep told me I might need to reinstall wordpress, but he didnt sound like he knew what he was talking about, is this true? If I update my PHP do would I loose all my current files?
Also can this be the problem why I am seen that error message?
thanks

Godaddy has the worst hosting service on the planet
with that said, it is morally wrong for any hosting provider to give you a 5 year old server which is using PHP4. For your best interest you should find a good hosting company that will take care of the client and not feed them crap. I have never heard anyone loose data because they upgraded PHP. All the hosting companies are upgrading to PHP5 because WordPress has announced that they are going to make the minimum requirement for WordPress to be PHP5. Once you get PHP5 going on your server eMember won’t show the error anymore.
Let me know how you go.
