I integrated wp affiliate with a Gumroad pre-order product and am wondering how it will track affiliate payouts. There have been pre-orders under affiliates, but none of them are registering as sales in the individual affiliate accounts.
It is tracking clicks, just not the ‘pre-order’ as a sale.
Will it automatically assign the correct commissions to the correct affiliates when we launch the program they pre-ordered?
March 20, 2014 at 6:28 am #61717adminKeymasterJust to verify, you have done all the setup explained here?

We use the ping API from Gumroad, do you know if they send a ping for pre-orders? We have never dealt with the pre-order situation so not sure how Gumroad’s API work in terms of pre-order.
You should also enable debug in the plugin then do a test transaction so we can see more details in terms of what (if anything) Gumraod is sending to the plugin for pre-orders.
March 24, 2014 at 9:05 pm #61718hobbytohotMemberDebug is enabled. I haven’t heard back yet from Gumroad.
There are Gumroad pings but I’m not sure how to read what it’s doing.
Can I send the text file somehow for you to take a look at?
Thanks!

March 26, 2014 at 2:59 am #61721hobbytohotMemberI’ve tested everything with Gumroad and it’s all working correctly on their side. Please let me know what needs to happen to get it working correctly on the WP Affiliate side.
Thanks!
March 26, 2014 at 4:46 am #61722adminKeymasterLooks like, the plugin is not receiving the custom field value. That usually means that step 6 from the following documentation isn’t in place:

Can you share a link to your landing page (where you have the gumroad purchase button) so I can investigate the code you have there.

I integrated step six, but maybe it’s not done correctly.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
March 27, 2014 at 5:52 am #61724adminKeymasterThat looks correct to me. Not sure why those values are not coming back from Gumroad after the sale. I will take a look inside and see what I can find out. I have sent you an email for it.
March 29, 2014 at 7:19 am #61725adminKeymasterThere was a little issue with a “Pre Order” type transaction. We have applied a fix for this in the plugin. Now, commission tracking for pre orders via Gumroad will work too.
