I recently started using a plugin called “Who Is Online” and I’m noticing a number of “Guest” user names accessing protected content. All the content is protected and eMember does appear to be working correctly as I do get subscriptions on a regular basis. I’m wondering if there is a “back door” that I’m not aware of that I need to secure.
Thanks
Art
Only logged in members who has the ability to access content can see the actual protected content… there is no other way or back doors.
Just because someone clicked on a protected post doesn’t mean he can see the content of that post. Anyone can see the post or page title but the body content is what you protect and that is only visible to qualified members.
The easiest test you can do is to sign up as a guest yourself using a different computer and see if you can view any protected content.
Thanks for the reply. They must be finding the link in a search engine, clicking on it but not able to get in. The plugin “Who Is Online” displays the current link they are at.
