    Hi there,

whilst testing have found that i cannot log in to emember site using google chrome 6.0.472.55

Works fine on Firefox and IE with same user id and password…

are there any known issues with Chrome?

    thanks

Google chrome has a bit of issue dealing with AJAX queries from time to time. Can you please update your chrome (there is a newer version than the one you are using) and give it a try? Don’t forget to clear the cache too.

Let me know how you go.

Hi just updated to latest version of chrome, cleared cache and cookies.

However still no go. Login just takes loops me back to login page with no error etc.

Okay. I Just want to try it with a new fresh build of eMember. I have sent you one in your email. Can you use that and let me know if you see a difference?

Hi, have loaded newer version. I can now log in using Google Chrome – yippeee!

However I can’t log out! The cookie emember_in_use hangs around.

    thanks

Spoke too soon, now getting same as before with chrome just taking me to login or join message again. I have W3 total cache installed, with the cookies mentioned excluded. Also have excluded the protected content pages from chache as well.

    Any other ideas?

just disabled w3 total cache completely and all works fine on both chrome and firefox.

    so appears some conflict there…

have had to re-enable cache as get stroppy emails about cpu use from hosting provider if not running caching! :)

i turned on debug mode in w3 cache so could check source code for pages server. w3 cache indicates it is NOT caching the page, however something it is doing something as if i disable it completly then no login issues. (also have issue on IE, and a different computer with Firefox, so not browser specific)

    Any ideas where to look?

What version if eMember are you using? It maybe worth is to get a fresh version from here:

Request Product Update or Fresh Download Link(s)

Make sure to double check that the “eMember_in_use” cookie value is present in the W3 Total Cache settings. Remember, the cookie name is case sensitive so copy and paste it.

Hi there, yes have recopied the cookie, cleared caches etc, didn’t have a CRLF at end of setting, but doubt that should make a difference. Still have issue. As above if I turn on W3 Cache Debug it tells me that it hasn’t cached the login page. Could there be a conflict with minify or JS compression etc?

    Using v5.7.3 of Emember.

i will fill out the update-request.

    thanks

Are you using the default options of the W3 cache plugin or did you modify them heaps?

Hi there, think i found it, defaults pretty much through W3 cache except for JS minify.

Turning off ” Cache Database ” seems to have fixed it!! I am pretty sure that was a default setting??

Will keep testing but looks good at moment! :)

    thanks for your help
