Tagged: admin, management, user access
By default the eMember dashboard is only accessible to the Admin of the site. If you want to allow other users with different roles (eg. editor, author) to have access to the dashboard then follow this guide.
1) Go to the following interface of the eMember plugin:
eMember -> Admin Functions
2) Scroll to the “eMember Admin Dashboard Access Permission” section.
3) Set the desired user role value from the dropdown.
4) Save the permission.
Hello, I try to set up a membership level to allow administration of membership. I cannot see the eMember Dashboard at that level. Here are my steps in creating the new level:
Steps to set up member to administer eMemberships
– Saved Editor Role under Admin Functions
– Created a membership level (memberAdmin)and assiged the WP Editor role
– Assigned a member to the memberAdmin level
– Under Settings:– Hide Admin Toolbar for All Except Admins: Checked (I don’t want members to see the WP dashboard)
– But no eMember dashboard is display for the memberAdmin member.
Is my setup correct? Did I miss anything?
The admin dashboard is only for WP user with correct permission. So lets check that first. If you go to the WP users menu, do you see the “memberAdmin” user there? What is the “role” assigned to that user?
Yes the memberAdmin user is in WP-User and assigned the role of Editor.
I will take a look inside your site. I have sent an email to organize access details.
