    Hello!

I am trying to understand if there is a way to let a user who is signing up for the affiliate plugin to choose their preferred Payout Option either via PayPal Email or Check. I understand that the plugin mainly uses PayPal as the main means of payout, but I see in the “Manage Affiliates” section when you go to edit an individual affiliate there is a “Payable To” field that does not appear on the registration form; is there a way to add that to the registration form in the affiliate settings? That way a user registering may either choose to include their PayPal email if they want to be paid out via PayPal or include “Payable to” if they want to be paid out via a check for example.

Also, if either of these are filled out, will the Payment Report File note be in the CSV/spreadsheet that is generated?

    Thanks for the info!

We were kind of in the process of removing that field because no one really uses it these days. Sending affiliate payment using an electronic method is kind of the standard.

We can add that field to the affiliate’s profile field. So they can fill that info in by going to their profile (after they register and log into the site). Will that help?

You should create a page on your site that explains the payout method that you are going to be using and what the affiliate need to do to set things up correctly. You can explain it in the affiliate index page or link to the page you created from there. Your affiliate can then read this before they click the register link to signup.

    Thanks for the Response!

So, the “Payable To” field would be filled out after an affiliate registered for the affiliates program? It would be best to add this to the initial registration process if at all possible to avoid confusion when registering. Is it possible to add this field to the registration form or is the edit profile form the only option?

    Thanks for the help!

I have added an option for this so you can show the payable to field on the affiliate signup form and their profile page. When you generate the payout report file, it will output the value of the “payable to” field (if any) in the CSV file also. Sent you an update via email.
