i thought i fulfilled all the requirements for setting up the eStore Gift Certificate, but these are the emails the tester received after buying a gift certificate.the first:
From: Ivan’s Cooking <ivan@>
Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2019 2:22:16 PM
To: ljandiah@
Subject: Thank You For Your Purchase
Dear L Houst
Thank you for your purchase!
Ivan’s Gift Certificates – $100 x 1 – $100.00 (USD)
Your item(s) will be baked and shipped as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Ivan
There is no voucher associated with this product.
the second sent to the store owner:
Dear Seller,
This mail is to notify you of a product sale. Product Name: Ivan’s Gift Certificates – $100 Product ID: 22
The sale was made to L Houst (ljandiah@)
Thanks!
i set up 18 vouchers in Voucher Management. then i set up a page to sell the certificates. there was no mention these should be set up as digital products, and since all other products in the store are physical, i did not set up anything in the digital section for the Gift Certificate product. i also added {voucher_data} to the buyer’s email template.
i’ve been suffering from the flu so i don’t think i understand how these certificates should be set up. i’d appreciate your guidance. here is the website: ivanscooking.com and if you need access i can give that to you.
January 23, 2019 at 4:16 am #79083wzpModeratorAre we talking about the Premium “Gift Voucher” addon for eStore?
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-gift-voucher-addon-1687?ap_id=TheAssurer
And to confirm; did you follow ALL of the instructions, on how to not only setup/configure the addon, but also how to sell, and redeem vouchers?
Finally, can you manually generate a voucher, per the instructions?
January 24, 2019 at 2:54 am #79084KiraScurroMemberyes, this is the premium add-on for the e-store. i thought i followed all of the instructions to a T for the setup, configuration and sale. i was a bit confused as to whether i was to add just a buy button for the voucher on its corresponding product page, or whether i could just make a Gift Certificate sales page for all 4 prices of vouchers. so i made the sales page with all voucher buy buttons on the same page. that could be my mistake, but i didn’t think it was clear in the instructions. i did manually generate a voucher as a test and it had a voucher number so i thought that worked correctly.
January 24, 2019 at 1:41 pm #79085wzpModeratorSo… in accordance with the example, at the top of page 6:
You added a {voucher_date} email tag to your email template?
January 27, 2019 at 10:07 am #79086KiraScurroMemberyes, this is the email template that i added that to:
Dear {first_name} {last_name}
Thank you for your purchase!
{product_details}
Your item(s) will be baked and shipped as soon as possible.
Thanks,
IvanĀ
{voucher_data}
I didn’t add “Here is your voucher” because isn’t this the same email that’s sent out on all products? I didn’t want the voucher mention if they were buying something other than a gift certificate.
I also want to make sure that I’m correct in setting up a separate sales page for the vouchers.
January 28, 2019 at 1:50 am #79087adminKeymasterWhen you create a voucher, it needs to be connected to a corresponding estore product (customers buying this product means they are buying that voucher). I think this product association is missing. I will take a look at your setup. I have sent you an email for it.
