Gift Purchases

I have eStore and I want to make gift purchase that are billed to me and sent to someone else. How do I do that?

eStore doesn’t have gift purchase option but you can instruct your customers to use the Manual checkout option for this. When checking out using the manual checkout one can explain stuff in the “Additional Comment” section. You could do the same for PayPal too as PayPal lets you leave comment in the “Special instruction field” on the checkout page where the customer can provide an address for the recipient.

I came back after one year in order to ask for a gift purchase again. I use eMember v7.9.6 and eStore v6.6.6. Is there an option now?

No there is no specific gift purchase functionality at the moment.

For now you can do as per amin007’s suggestion above.

Or, you can ask the buyer to forward their membership registration email to their friend for whom they are buying the gift for and then that person can register with their own details.

Just to elaborate on this…

Lets say Person A wants to purchase a membership for Person B. Person A can make the purchase as usual and when he/she receives the email from the plugin with the unique link, Person A can forward that email to Person B which allows the gift receiver to get the account. The unique link will only allow one member registration so both of them won’t be able to signup using that same link.
