Am trying to get eStore to redirect to thank you page with the download links in the thank you page. Have been working on this for days. Have accessed a number of your articles and have done the following:
have set up eStore as directed in tutorial:
-Entered correct URL for thank you page
-Entered correct email address return email
-Checked PayPal Payment Gateway
-Entered correct PayPal email
-Checked Use Automatic Post Payment Processing
-Checked Enable Transaction Result Display
-Enter PDT Identity Token
In PayPal Website Payment Preferences I have:
-Enabled Auto Return for Website Payments
-Entered return URL for thank you page
-Enabled PDT and received the token
What happens when I attempt to purchase a product I get this message:
We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.
For some browsers, this problem can be resolved by clearing or deleting cookies.
Message 3514
I have tried clearing the cookies. Also my Paypal account as a buyer shows the transactions but that they are not yet claimed. As a seller I see no transactions although I as being informed that the transactions did not go through at the notification email. I am really stumped. I feel like I have gone through all the tutorials on this and am just not getting anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
July 5, 2013 at 9:40 pm #56450right4uwebdesigncomMemberShould have mentioned my site is [www.sillysamthemusicman.com]. Also, here is the content of the ipn_handle_debug-4.log (only log that had any info):
[07/05/2013 4:26 PM] – Advisory : Log file reset.
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – SUCCESS :Paypal Class Initiated by 173.0.81.1 eStore Version: 6.9.1
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – SUCCESS :Post string :[redacted]
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – SUCCESS :Connection to http://www.paypal.com successfuly completed.
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – SUCCESS :IPN successfully verified.
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – SUCCESS :Creating product Information to send.
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – FAILURE :Funds have not been cleared yet. Product(s) will be delivered when the funds clear!
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – FAILURE :IPN product validation failed.
[07/05/2013 4:27 PM] – SUCCESS :Paypal class finished.
There are enough funds in the account. However, they have yet to be claimed. I don’t know why the IPN validation is failing. I have turned on Auto Return, have entered a URL for the thank you page, turned on PDT, got the token, and put it into the setting on eStore plugin. I have checked and rechecked the settings and it all looks good. Please tell me what I am missing. Thanks for any help:)
July 6, 2013 at 12:33 am #56451wpCommerceModeratorIt looks like your PayPal account is not fully setup yet so the funds are not getting cleared immediately. The following post will be helpful for you to resolve this:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/reasons-for-a-pending-paypal-payment
FYI:
PayPal error message 3514 indicates that the shopping cart plugin successfully made the transaction request, but Paypal hasn’t been able to complete the transaction.
You need to contact PayPal and ask them what is going on with your account and mention that error message. They will be able to fix it for you.
July 19, 2013 at 10:26 pm #56452StarCircleAcademyMemberI have seen another case, similar to this where the transaction doesn’t complete: when PayPal (or the purchaser) attempts to use eCheck to fund the transaction.
There is a significant amount of verbiage about this, some parties claiming evil PayPal uses the eCheck funding mechanism as a ruse to keep more of the fees it charges, and PayPal has argued that it’s a backup mechanism.
Regardless, funding fails pending clearance of the eCheck which can take up to 7 days in the US. I let one of my purchasers know that his eCheck would take time to process and he said he didn’t use eCheck – his account was funded through a credit card and a bank account. The funds finally cleared and I *think* WP eStore would have handled it properly except that I had a bug that resulted in the original transaction not appear in the customer table.
