    Hi,

I’m setting up a system for a client which needs to integrate with a GVO autoresponder, so they can collect emails and send newsletters whenever someone becomes a member.

It works when I use Getresponse and Aweber, but when I try to integrate with the generic autoresponder setting it doesn’t work. GVO allows users to send an email to the listname email, so there is no reason for this to not work.

Could you please help me? Might I suggest that you test and verify that your coding is correct? I suspect that the plugin fails to send the email to the listname email…

    Thanks,

    Thomas Aagesen

We can easily find out what it is doing and where things are going wrong. Please enable debug in the plugin and then do a test membership signup then share the content of the debug file. You can enable debug from the settings menu of the plugin.

That’s whats weird… It’s saying SUCCESS on all the tests when I run it in debug mode.

The plugin really doesn’t do much when it comes to the Generic autoresponder integration. It simply sends an email to the “list name” email address and uses the user’s email as the from address. The debug should confirm if it did that or not.

If the plugin sends the email (if debug is confirming it) then the rest is not upto this plugin unfortunately. We have a few customers who are using this option successfully so we know that it can send the email correctly. We can only confirm that the plugin is doing what we are advertising it does. You may want to check the logs of your autoresponder provider side to see if they are receiving any email at all or discarding emails for whatever reason.

    Thanks for your advice.

It sure seems like it’s not being received by the autoresponder service, so I’ll check it out.

    Thanks again,

    Thomas
