Generating secure/encrypted link 'on the fly'

Is there anyway to generate a secure download link on the fly without going through a purchase ? I offer people an option to download horse racing ratings for a small fee but want to also be able to send a secure link out to regular subscribers instead of sending it as an attachment – if you know of any way to this or a workaround/suggestions I would appreciate it.

You can generate an encrypted download link from the “Admin Functions” menu. You can then email this link out to your customer.

Yes, you’ll find that you’ll use this quite often! Customers will mess up about 10% of the time and ask for another download page. This works very, very well! Good addition.

I was able to see this Admin functions, however i put the title of the product, clicked generate link and sent an email but the product link was not included in the email, what am i doing wrong?

The “Admin Functions” menu has two sections. One for generating the download link and the other for sending a quick email to someone (e.g a customer).

First you need to generate the link from the section on the top (If you read the help text it should be very clear as to how it works).

Then you can copy and paste the generated link in the body of the email.

When I use the generate encrypted link from admin functions for a digital product, the resulting link doesn’t work.

Before you try the encrypted link did you make sure that that link you specified in the “Digital Product URL” section of the product is correct (make sure there are no typo)?
