I have both your License Manager and eStore plugins installed. Your documentation states “… if you want to auto generate license keys when a customer purchase an item. The plugin will email the generated license key to the customer.”
I have already selected the option in eStore Product AddOn settings for the Generate License on Purchases however when creating the email I do not see any shortcode that will put this license # inside the email.
Also I don’t see how to associate a specific product with a specific licenses (many people have different products and different licenses).
I want this process completely automated, and i have purchased your software to do this for me.
Can you please point me in the direction of the help where i can find the answer (I have researched all of your documentation and forums for this but still have not found an answer)
Thank you,
Randy

December 16, 2016 at 11:34 am #72803slipheedSpectatorAdding to raustin’s question:
Can eStore automatically issue a license with different expiry dates for two different products, say 7 days for the TRIAL product, and 20 years for the FULL product?
I understand the Software License Manager Plugin is set to issue keys with a 1 year expiration date.
Would I need to modify the eStore code?
December 17, 2016 at 11:51 pm #72804adminKeymasterThe license manager plugin doesn’t have an option for this at the moment. I will add an option for this in the license manager plugin.
December 18, 2016 at 12:03 am #72805slipheedSpectatorGreat,
I think this would open up eStore to more folks who are selling software, who need the great functionality of SLM for trial and full software.
December 20, 2016 at 6:17 pm #72806slipheedSpectatorHi,
In reading your reply agaian, you state an update to the SLM will happen. I am assuming this includes an update to eStore to allow us to assign expiry dates to individual products, when upon purchase, would auto-generate licence keys in the SLM table with the specified exipry dates. Is my assumption correct?
Thanks again for adding this important feature.
December 21, 2016 at 5:52 am #72807wzpModeratorThe update has to be in the SLM, because that’s where the license key expiration dates need to be kept.
December 22, 2016 at 8:56 pm #72808slipheedSpectatorI have installed version 2.6 of SLM, but see no option to set custom expiry dates for products in eStore. Where might that be?
December 22, 2016 at 9:10 pm #72809slipheedSpectatorDisregard. I found it under Software License Manager tab in the Add/Edit Product window. Thank you kindly for this enhancement. Others who are selling software will surely be more likely to use eStore now.
December 22, 2016 at 9:28 pm #72810slipheedSpectatorActually, I also just realized that this new feature allows a product expiration date, as in the exact date when the product will expire.
This means that if that product is a 7-day trial, then I would have to enter the eStore every day to increase the expiry date of the Trial product by one day.
Is there a way to instead allow eStore users to select an amount of time in days, months, and years? This would automate the process.
December 23, 2016 at 12:23 am #72811adminKeymasterI have updated the license manage plugin so it will now accept “number of days” in the product configuration. The plugin will use that value to dynamically set the expiry date of the license key based on when the product is purchased.
December 24, 2016 at 3:17 pm #72812slipheedSpectatorThank you so very much. I did not expect such great customer service. Five stars for sure!
April 18, 2017 at 7:50 am #72813executiveMemberHi Admin,
Is it possible to email automated license keys (generated by SLM) to customers everytime SLM generates so?
For example, after a month of subscription (recurring payment), the subscription continues (of course since it’s not yet cancelled). A new license key is generated and should be sent AUTOMATICALLY to the customer.
April 19, 2017 at 1:46 am #72814adminKeymasterWP eStore doesn’t have any built-in option for this.
This something that will need to be handled as a custom job so it can coded up according to your requirement:
