From email address showing as WordPress still

I added my name and email address into the settings using this format “Your Name <youremail@gmail.com>” but the emails sent from my tests are showing as from WordPress still. Is this because I’m using a paypal sandbox or is there a step I’m missing somewhere to change the default FROM email address info? Thanks!

Are you using a plugin similar to this one that maybe changing those details in your system?

Nope, I’m not using anything I’m aware of that should modify those details. But, it seems if I use that plugin you just linked to the email shown is correct.
